Your first calling is relationship with Him.
Worship leaders are shepherds.
Love the people more than you love the songs.
Jesus didn’t die for songs. He died for people.
Lead like the people in front of you are worth that much.
Good music doesn’t get people saved. The gospel does.
Make Jesus unmistakable.
Songs are arrows. Praise is a weapon.
Point people to Jesus. Beat back the darkness.
Your setlists are discipling your church.
Pay attention to what your songs are building in people.
Prepare your heart as seriously as you prepare your music.
Be skillful. Be prayerful. Depend on the Holy Spirit.
Who you are offstage is part of what you lead onstage.
Live what you invite others to sing.
Don’t just go deeper. Bring people with you.
Sing songs people can sing. Show them how to worship. Invite them in.
Will you fight for them—or just sing your songs?
See their battles. Stand with them in prayer. Point them to Jesus.
Pursue leaders you expect to pour into you.
Make time for conversations that shape your heart, not just your setlist.
Ask about their hearts, not just their harmonies.
Stop filling slots. Start building disciples.
Doing everything doesn’t make you faithful. It makes you a bottleneck.
Bring someone with you. Teach them. Trust them with meaningful ministry.
Am I building a ministry that depends on me—or people who depend on Jesus?
Make disciples, not dependents.
Do for the next leader what someone once did for you.
Invite them beside you. Trust them to lead. Pass the baton.
We don’t reproduce moments. We reproduce faithfulness.
Prepare well. Love people. Follow the Holy Spirit. Trust God with the outcome.
